WHAT WE BELIEVE

At Pilgrim Lutheran Church, we believe the Bible is the inspired and errorless Word of God, pointing to Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world. We are a congregation of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), and our beliefs reflect this rich, biblical tradition.

We believe in one true God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God created all things and desires a relationship with His people. But through sin, humanity is separated from God and cannot restore that relationship on its own.

Out of love, God sent His Son, Jesus, true God and true man, to live perfectly, die on the cross for our sins, and rise again, offering forgiveness and eternal life. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus—not by our works, but as a gift from God through the Holy Spirit.

We receive God’s grace through His Word, Baptism, and Holy Communion. These Means of Grace strengthen our faith and connect us to Jesus.

We believe Jesus will return one day to raise the dead and bring eternal life to all believers. Until then, we are called to worship, serve, and share the Good News of Jesus with others.
