“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.” Psalm 34:17
God promises to hear our cries because He has made us righteous through the Blood of Jesus! This is not a righteousness we have earned or manufactured ourselves, but one graciously endowed upon us through the gift of faith. Faith has connected us to all that Jesus won on the cross and empty tomb delivering us from sin, death, and the power of the devil!
We may experience troubles in our modern time and in our daily lives, but these will not endure. What will remain are the promises of God through the forgiveness that gives us life. Christ has already conquered this world and the troubles it brings. Staying focused on His promises amidst temporary challenges is a trial of faith that God will see us through.
When we experience the fallenness of life, we can cry out and know that the Lord hears and will ultimately deliver us. So, cry out, Children of God! Know that the Lord hears you and that His deliverance is at hand!
