” … give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” I Thessalonians 5:18

When we think about prayer we probably think about bringing our requests to God. This is especially true when we are facing challenges and difficulties. Our prayer life seems to increase when things are pressing up against us or we feel fearful. But prayer goes beyond just having our needs and wants met. Prayer is a continual act of life and when we think of it rightly, we realize that there is so much to be grateful for and God wants to hear our praise.

Take today to thank God for your blessings whether big of small. Put your thoughts together and speak to God your appreciation for all that He has done, is doing and will do that are good and bless your life. Grandma always said to “count your blessings” as a proper way to live life. When we do so, the challenges and difficulties won’t seem so big. In fact, we start to realize that life is good and gives us reason to be joyful.

Know that you are loved!

Peace and Joy,
Pastor Kilian
