“Amen.”
Today we conclude our series on the most excellent prayer, The Lord’s Prayer, as taught by Jesus Himself and expressing the full will of God for all of His Children. We finish with the final word of the Conclusion which puts God’s stamp of approval and exclamation point on all that has been said and requested in this prayer.
“Amen” meaning “it shall be so” affirms that all that has been said and requested in this prayer will come to fruition because it is in God’s holy, all-powerful will to make it so. What we have asked in faith, God will give to us in His time, through His means and in His way. Even as we are asking for future benefits and blessings from God throughout the prayer, because they are His own words which He gave to us to pray to Him, we know that they will be accomplished. This should give us great confidence and encouragement as we pray the Lord’s Prayer.
It is my prayer that in conclusion of this devotional series you have been blessed with greater insight and understanding to not just say the words of the Petitions, but to pray the with meaning from your heart. Our Lord is good and He will hear and answer!
