In Jesus’ infinity and omnipotence He declares Himself to be THE Supreme One, the “Almighty!” It means He can do all things, His power has no limits, indeed He is sovereign and all-encompassing. This is our God! Amazing!
Perhaps equally amazing is that He cares for us. He works on our behalf, defends us, preserves us, plans our future and gives us true hope. And all this, totally unmerited and undeserved. Just as He has the attribute of being almighty, so also He is love. And it is this love that causes Him to extend His power in our favor in this life and to life everlasting.
Be encouraged that because our God of love is almighty, nothing can stand against us. Not sin, not death, not the power of the devil. We live this truth by His Spirit and are empowered ourselves with confidence and joy each and every day.
